Our Proud APDC Team—Automated for Success!
At American Precision Die Casting, we believe our team is the best in the business. Our people are dedicated to getting the job done, no matter what. Whether it’s for providing top-notch customer service or our highly-skilled machine operators maintaining a pristine safety record, we celebrate our people when they go above and beyond what’s expected.
Robot-based Automation
Automation is precise, quick, agile—APDC’s investment in robot-based automation strengthens our competitive edge and enables us to provide innovative solutions for our customers. Our robots expand our capabilities and enable us to produce high-quality aluminum die cast products faster and more efficiently, reducing man-hours and production times.
We want to be the best in our market, so we’ve transformed traditional die casting by seamlessly integrating robust automation such as FANUC robots, ladlers, and extractors.
But our automation only runs well because of our highly qualified team members who manage our automated cells.
Here’s an inside look into the community of professionals who have found a home at APDC, and why they love working here. Let us introduce you to one of our operators behind these reliable robots.
Meet Team Member Jonathan Mathena
Jonathan is a Robot Operator and Supervisor.
At our facility, we operate two fully automated die casting cells utilizing three robots, multiple 28 ton trim presses, many 2200 pound holding furnaces, a 2600 pound crucible melt furnace, and several melt furnaces ranging from 7,800 to 24,000 pounds. Producing quality castings demands consistent process timing, and that’s another benefit from deploying advanced robotic technology.
Our highly-skilled robot operators—like Jonathan—find the best usage and efficiencies, as well as reprogram the APDC robots for different component production.
